In photos: Thousands of Volkswagen
enthusiasts flock to Brean

Over
2,000 Volkswagen enthusiasts flocked to Brean at the weekend for
a three-day festival celebrating the vehicles.
Van
West 2009 was held at Brean Leisure Park, where car-themed trade
stands, exhibitions and entertainment were laid on.
The
event also included a mass drive along Brean beach on Sunday,
as pictured here.
Organisers
Chris White and Adrian Ashby (pictured) said the event had been
a great success after being held in Brean for the first time.
"The
festival has been held at Sparkford for the last three years,
but we wanted to take it to the seaside and Brean has proved to
be a great venue. We had over 2,000 visitors, 80 trade stands
and almost 700 VW vehicles on site. We certainly hope to return
here again next year."
