Wildlife rescue charity to hold ‘wildlife babies open weekend’

-

Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill will be opening its doors to the public later this month for a special fundraising weekend.

The ‘Wildlife Babies Weekend’ will be held on May 29th, 30th and 31st from 10am to 4pm each day, when visitors will get an insight into the work of the busy centre.

The charity has been working around the clock to care for many orphaned animals during recent weeks – its busiest time of year.

To highlight the difficulties the charity faces in keeping its 24 hour operation running, Secret World has also launched a new fundraising initiative called ‘Challenge24’.

Fundraising Co-ordinator Lynette Preston told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s an easy and perfect way for individuals, companies, groups or schools to help care for our previous wildlife.”

“All they have to do is come up with a fundraising idea using the number 24 – so you can really let your imagination run wild.”

For more information about the open days and ‘Challenge24’ call 01278 783250.
