Burnham-On-Sea street party raises funds for town’s carnival club

-

A street party will be held in Burnham-On-Sea today (Sunday, May 30th) to raise funds for the town’s carnival club.

The event will take place in Burnham High Street this evening outside the Somerset and Dorset pub.

“The event will be a lot of fun with music, stalls, food and live entertainment throughout the night,” Hillview Juvenile Carnival Club’s Chairman, Mark Bishop, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We hope to raise a good sum towards this year’s carnival float, which we hope will be another winning entry!”

Sunday’s street party will be held from 4-10pm.

Members of Hillview celebrated last year when their float, called Gee Wiz, won at Bridgwater, North Petherton, Burnham-On-Sea, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Wells and Weston – earning them the coveted County Cup.
