Man arrested after woman killed in crash near Burnham-On-Sea

A man has this week been arrested in connection with a woman's death in a crash near Burnham-On-Sea last month.

Alice Hicks, 27, was involved in the collision with another vehicle on the A38 near Rooksbridge on September 24th - as reported here.

Although she was airflifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, she died of her injuries later that day.

Police have this week arrested a 33-year-old man from the Axbridge area on suspicion of causing her death by dangerous driving.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Officers investigating the incident would still like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision.

Those with information should call the police's collision investigation unit on the force's new non-emergency number, 101.
