Debate over Britain’s EU status set to come to West Huntspill

-

The debate over Prime Minister David Cameron’s decision to opt out of the new EU treaty will be coming to the Burnham-On-Sea area next month.

Sir Graham Watson, Member of European Parliament for the South West, will be visiting the area on January 14th to speak about his views on the consequences for Britain – good and bad.

Mr Watson will be attending a formal dinner at the Huntspill Arms in West Huntspill, organised by Sedgemoor Lib Dems, where members of the public will be welcome to attend.

Highbridge & Burnham Marine councillor Joe Leach, pictured with Sir Graham, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Many people are concerned with what is happening with regards to Europe and Britain’s relationship with the mainland – whether they be pro-european or anti.”

“Things are changing and we are very fortunate to be able to hear first hand what the implications could be – I hope people will attend.”

Tickets for the three-course dinner cost £15.00 and are available by email here.
