Katia whips up stormy seas in Burnham-On-Sea
tail end of a former hurricane created stormy sea conditions in
Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (September 12th).
Gale force winds gusting up to 50mph left rough sea conditions
when Monday's 10.8m high tide reached its peak at 7.17pm.
Former Hurricane Katia passed over northern UK on Monday, but
the Burnham area saw no serious damage from the gusty conditions.
Wind surfers and kite surfers were out in force on Monday evening,
taking advantage of the conditions. A Burnham Coastguard spokesman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been no incidents.
