In photos: Stormy weather fails to dampen spirits at Berrow
Fayre

Stormy
winds and occasional rain failed to dampen spirits at Berrow's
annual summer fayre on Saturday (16th June), when an afternoon
of entertainment was enjoyed by large crowds.
The
popular event, held on the village's Millennium Field off Red
Road, included displays by Berrow's Kung Fu group Fei Lung Kwan,
police dogs, a Zumba group, the Stage 2 drama group, and a birds
of prey charity.
There
was also a cake competition, an alternative dog show, Scruffs,
and traditional stalls and games.
Co-organiser
Lynn Smith told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The fayre went really
well with lots of people braving the windy weather. Thankfully,
the rain stayed away for most of the day."
"The
arena attractions seemed popular, although unfortunately the birds
of prey couldnt fly as it was too windy."
She
added: "Special thanks must go to the volunteers who gave
up their time to help organise the event and run the stalls. Thanks
also to the people who put on all of the displays and demonstrations
throughout the day. We couldnt do it without you."
The
fayre was organised by Berrow Community Associations Entertainment
Team and all proceeds go towards the Berrow Village Hall Project.
