Burnham-On-Sea teenager plans 22 mile walk in aid of Help For
Heroes
A
Burnham-On-Sea teenager is seeking sponsors for a 22 mile walk
in aid of Help For Heroes.
Frank Parker, 16, is preparing for the sponsored trek from the
seafront in Burnham-On-Sea to Cheddar Reservoir and back on Saturday
August 25th.
"I
hope to do the 22 mile route in under 12 hours with several other
supporters and hope to raise as much money as possible,"
he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"Help
For Heroes does such brilliant work for all those wounded in combat.
The event is being held to raise money for soldiers' rehabilitation,
services and facilities."
Frank,
pictured, will be handing out sponsorship forms while selling
the charity's wristbands in Burnham town centre and town supermarkets
during the coming weeks.
He hopes to raise several hundred pounds for the charity and has
already raised £80 by selling Help for Heroes wristbands
at Highbridge's King Alfred School, where he just finished his
school year. To
take part in next month's walk, call Frank on 07585 397146 or
email him here.
