£1.5m expansion project at Brean Splash will create new jobs

-

Work is to begin this autumn on a major £1.5m project to further extend the facilities at Brean Splash.

The House family, who own Brean Leisure Park, are to build a huge new indoor play area and indoor water park.

Director Sarah House told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We will be starting work on the second phase of Brean Splash Waterpark in the autumn and hope to have the new areas open for Easter 2014.”

“The second phase will include the creation of ‘Brean Play’, a large indoor play area for children up to the age of 12.”

“The facility will provide a fun, stimulating and safe experience whatever the weather. The attraction will be open all year round and we will be offering annual membership for local residents as well as birthday party packages.”

She added: “In addition to the play facility we will be extending our offering at Brean Splash by adding a further indoor water space that will feature a children’s pool and waterslides.”

“The extra facility will operate along side our existing 25m indoor pool and will open weekends during the winter and daily the rest of the year to increase our ‘indoor fun elements’.”

The project will involve an investment of around £1.5m by the House family and will also create an additional 8-10 permanent jobs plus a dozen further temporary positions.

Brean Splash is currently open daily and operates all year round. The outdoor facilities are open daily from 10am and will be open until 1st September 2013.
