Fun-filled afternoon lined up at Brent Knoll summer fete today

-

Brent Knoll’s annual summer fete will take place on Saturday (June 8th) with a traditional line-up of music, games and stalls.

Organisers are keeping their fingers crossed for more good weather, with the event expected to draw crowds of visitors to Brent Knoll Green from 2pm.

“There will also be performances by the well-loved school dancing group and the Chalice Morris Men – both perennial favourites,” John Page, Chairman of the village fete committee, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“A new feature this year will be a crazy golf course at the top of the green, which will operate alongside the children’s sports, coconut shy and games being played around the village green.”

“This year’s event will have a fancy dress theme with the topic of ‘heroes’ which we hope will attract quite a few children and adults to dress up as their favourite character.”

Entrance will be by programme costing £1 (children under 14 free) which are on sale at the village post office or on the gate. Further details on 01278 760986.
