pub manager completes Weston Beach race for charity
manager of a Burnham-On-Sea pub raised hundreds of pounds for
charity by completing the Weston Beach Race at the weekend.
Robson, the manager of The Rosewood in Love Lane, raised £300
for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking part part in the RHL Weston
Beach Race on Sunday.
who has worked in the Hungry Horse pub for two years, has been
riding motorbikes since he was a boy, but took on the famous sandy
track for the first time.
finished in 212th place out of around 400 competitors after completing
13 laps during the three hour event.
addition to his riding challenge, Mark dressed in Macmillan-themed
green clothing, including a bright wig on top of his helmet!
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I am really happy to have finished
the race. It was a really enjoyable experience, the atmosphere
was absolutely banging. Id like to thank everyone who came
to support me and everyone who donated."
