Family and friends of teenage crash victim help charity in his memory

-

The family and friends of a teenager who was killed in a motorbike crash near Burnham last year have this week handed over a donation to a local charity that operates a life-saving blood transport bike service.

Jacob Douglas, 17, was killed in an accident on the B3151 on April 29th last year when his motorbike collided with a van and a car.

Jacob worked as a chef at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll and the staff there have raised hundreds of pounds for charity in his memory over the last few months.

A total of £329 has been collected and Jacob’s family this week attended a special event to present the funds to the Freewheelers Blood Bikes.

Jacob’s mother, Jenny, said: “This is a great cause which Jacob was passionate about and I’m sure he would be pleased to see the funds going to this charity. We thank everyone for their support.”
