Missing woman could have travelled through the Burnham area

-

Police have this week appealed for the public’s help in locating a missing Staffordshire woman who could have travelled through the Burnham-On-Sea area over the past few days.

Ria Adams, 34, right, from Wynyates in Tamworth, was last seen when she left her home on Thursday 29th May.

Inquiries have established she caught the 10.47am train from Tamworth Railway Station after purchasing a ticket to London Euston.

It is believed she would have needed to change trains at Birmingham and the police’s inquiries to confirm if she did this are ongoing. It is also possible she intended to visit the Watchet area of Somerset.

“Ria is described as white, 5ft 9 with a large build, she has short red streaked hair and was last seen wearing navy jogging bottoms, dark coloured trainers and a navy and white jacket in the style of an American school football jacket,” said a spokesman.

“It has a navy body with white sleeves, white around the waist, blue and white strips on the cuffs, and a white letter R on the left chest. She was carrying a lilac/pink sports bag and may have other clothing with her.”

“Ria has a number of tattoos including a frog on a lily pad on her shoulder and her name in hieroglyphics on her arm. She is also known as Mya Annayes and Ria Mya Adams.”

Chief Inspector Donna Gibbs added: “As time passes we’re growing increasingly concerned for Ria’s safety as it is believed she doesn’t have access to essential medication.”

“Our inquiries to locate Ria are ongoing and we’re working with colleagues from British Transport Police, West Midlands Police, Metropolitan Police Service, City of London Police and Avon and Somerset Constabulary to locate her. If you’re reading this Ria then please get in touch so we know you are OK.”
