Residents appeal for information after wall is demolished in Burnham

-

Residents at a block of seafront flats in Burnham-On-Sea have appealed for information after a wall was demolished outside their property over the weekend.

Several metres of the brick wall outside Victoria Court, which runs along Vicarage Street from The Esplanade, was found in pieces, as pictured here.

Resident Wendy Packer told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s a bit of a mystery, but we understand that a car may have backed into the wall on Saturday afternoon and then driven off.”

“It could have been a nasty accident if anyone had been nearby, so we’re relieved that no-one was hurt. We’re having to make an insurance claim and would ask anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with Burnham Police.”
