Dixon, a fictional detective inspector with Avon & Somerset
Police, based at the new police centre at Express Park, Bridgwater.

candidate Tom Perry is brutally murdered in an apparent burglary

"With the by-election campaign about to start in earnest,
and the festive season in full swing, torrential rain brings with
it flood warnings on the Somerset Levels."
"Suspended on full pay and transferred to the cold case unit,
Detective Inspector Nick Dixon is languishing on the sidelines
as the investigation into Elizabeth Perrys murder unravels
and the floodwaters rise."
to duty, Dixon is convinced that the answer lies hidden in Tom
Perrys political life, but why was Elizabeth the target
and not her husband? The more Dixon uncovers, the further he is
from finding the truth."
added: "Early feedback has, once again, been overwhelmingly
positive and I hope that fans of the series will think it has
been worth the wait!"
"Dead Level would not have been possible without the co-operation
of the Avon & Somerset Police. I would also like to pay tribute
to the Burnham-On-Sea RNLI whose assistance was invaluable. Needless
to say, the RNLI save the day, and the time they spent with me
ensuring the technical details of the rescue were correct was
pure gold. I cannot thank them enough!'"
In advance of the publication of the fifth instalment, Damien
will be signing copies of Dead Level at an exclusive pre-launch
event at GW Hurley in Burnham-On-Sea High Street at 10am on Saturday
12th March. Dead Level will be officially released on Tuesday
