Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge gymnasts scoop haul of medals

Young gymnasts from Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are celebrating after winning a haul of medals at a regional tournament.

Members of Monarchs Gymnastics Club, based in Highbridge, competed in Honiton over the weekend and returned with an impressive set of results.

Coach Mandy Warburton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We would like to say a big well done to everyone who took part."

"It was a lovely competition, everyone competed to a very high standard and did the club proud."

"A special well done to our very young gymnasts who competed for the first time."

The highlights included: Grade 1 mixed pair - Louie and Doris 5th; Grade 3 men's pair - Fin and Ernie 3rd; Grade 3 mixed pair - Eli and Tilly 2nd; Grade 3 women's groups - Amy, Kalay and Isla 9th; Mia, Mollie and Grace 14th, Chloe, Katie and Amara 18th; Grade 4 women's pair - Evie and Tiegan 15th; Grade 4 mixed pair - Lawrence and Holly 3rd.

Other great results included Grade 4 men's pair - Billy and Harvey 1st; Grade 4 women's group - Lucy, Amy and Erin 5th, Jess, Connie and Emily 14th; Grade 5 men's pair - Toby and Jack 1st; Grade 5 women's pair - Jenny and summer 3rd; 11-16 women's group - Jinny, Ornela and Ava 2nd.
