Burnham-On-Sea residents encouraged to have their say on the future of public open spaces

-

Sedgemoor District Council is asking for the views of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents on open spaces, sports and leisure in the area.

The council’s Planning Policy team is currently preparing a new Open Space, Sport and Recreation Study for the whole district and wants residents to have their say.

“The aim of the study is to make sure that local communities have access to public facilities, services and open spaces,” said a council spokeswoman.

“The study incorporates a Playing Pitch Strategy, a Play audit, a Built Facilities assessment and an assessment of informal recreation space.”

Residents can complete the online survey here to help gather information and people’s views. To assist in completing the survey, the study is accompanied by an Online Interactive Map.

Should you require any assistance in completing the survey, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Planning Policy team on 01278 435544 or atldf@sedgemoor.gov.uk where a member of staff will be happy to help you. The deadline for completing and submitting questionnaires is Friday 1st March 2019.
