Air ambulance lands in Burnham to help man after roof fall

-

A man was air-lifted to hospital from Burnham-On-Sea on Monday afternoon (December 2nd) after falling from a roof.

The Dorset and Somerset air ambulance landed on the playing fields next to the BAY Centre in Cassis Close, as pictured here, to help the man.

Air ambulance spokeswoman Tracey Bartrum told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to help an adult male patient who had suffered possible back injuries in a roof fall.”

“Due to the potentially serious nature of the injuries, the man was flown to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.”

The helicopter landed just after 2pm and took off shortly afterwards with the patient onboard.
