Natwest gives Huntspill Cricket Club a spruce-up and cash donation

-

Huntspill and District Cricket Club has this week celebrated the start of a new season with a welcome donation and a spruce-up of its facilities by staff from a bank.

Natwest is a supporter of grassroots cricket across the UK and picked Huntspill as its focus club for a ‘Natwest ECB Cricketforce Weekend’ in which staff from bank branches across Somerset joined club members in sprucing up the facilities in time for the new season.

As well as providing a workforce, the bank also donated a cheque for £500 to the club. Chairman Paul Maxwell thanked them, telling Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The club is delighted to have the help of Natwest and the money will be well spent and used to service vital ground machinery.”

Stuart Byrne, CEO of Natwest Somerset Area, added: “It was great to be able to support a local team and get stuck-in to help make a difference.”
