Generous members of Somerset Motorcycle Group have given several local charities a boost this week after a year of fundraising bike rides.
Burnham rescue hovercraft charity BARB was among five good causes which received donations from the group during its annual presentation night at the Bristol Bridge Inn in Highbridge.
Somerset Motorcycle group’s Norman Templeman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We thank all those that have attended our ride outs over the past year and helped us raise a grand total of £1,225.67 for five local organisations.”
The cash was split between BARB, the Freewheelers blood bikes, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Devon Air Ambulance and Cornwall Air Ambulances.
