Thousands of Spring flowers bring a dash of colour to Brean Down

Spring has sprung on Brean Down where a blanket of yellow flowers has appeared.

Thousands of cowslips are growing on the south-facing slopes of the Down, as pictured here.

The National Trust, which manages Brean Down, says the mild start to Spring has helped their growth – although the colder weather arriving this week may well hit them.
