Over 150 people visited Burnham-On-Sea Camera Club’s third annual exhibition of photographs on Sunday (April 17th).

Mayor Michael Clarke cut a ceremonial ribbon, made of a strip of 35mm film, to open the show at the Burnham Area Youth Centre, in Cassis Close.

Cllr Clarke praised the standard of entries, telling Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I was very impressed with the quality and range of photos on display – we clearly have some very talented photographers in Burnham.”

Club secretary Sharon Stevens’ colourful Autumn print was voted the best in show by visitors to the exhibition. She was presented with the ‘Argos Cup’ by Club Chair Debbie Young, as pictured right.

Debbie thanked those who had helped the show, from supplying refreshments to manning the portrait studio and to setting up the display boards the night before.

She added: “This was our best exhibition yet, and the visitors made many complimentary remarks. Congratulations to Sharon Stevens, who was voted best in show.”
