Over 300 fill Burnham-On-Sea church for annual carol service

-

More than 350 people crowded into St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday evening (December 22nd) for the town’s annual Christmas Carol Service.

A group of more than 20 children from Burnham’s St Andrew’s School sang several carols and Christmas songs alongside the church’s own choir.

Burnham’s Mayor Martin Cox was among the local residents giving Bible readings. Others included vicar Rev Graham Witts, St Andrew’s School head teacher Gavin Morris, Burnham-On-Sea.com’s Mark Newman and Burnham Food Fest co-organiser Bev Milner Simonds.

The service opened with the traditional carol Once In Royal David’s City and ended with Hark the Herald Angel’s Sing.
