Crosses laid during Burnham-On-Sea war memorial ceremony

-

Crosses were laid next to Burnham-On-Sea’s war memorial on Sunday (November 3rd) during a special ceremony to dedicate the ground where the town’s Remembrance Day commemorations will be held next weekend.

Sunday’s ceremony was held outside Burnham Hospital in Love Lane, as pictured, and was led by members of Burnham’s Royal British Legion.

The brief service was led by Reverend Paul Kingdom with readings and prayers. Burnham and Highbridge’s Mayor, Cllr Martin Cox, was also in attendance.

Next Sunday’s Remembrance Day commemorations will be held besides the war memorial as usual at 11am.
