Youngsters at Burnham-On-Sea Beavers picking up tips about healthy eating during a special visit to a Highbridge supermarket this week.

The group of over 20 Beavers were invited to Highbridge’s Asda store on Thursday evening (February 17th) where they sampled fresh foods including fruit and vegetables before taking part in a healthy eating quiz.

The visit was held as part of the children’s work in earning badges for fitness and healthy eating.

Beaver Leader Mandy Williams told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This term, the cubs have been enjoying learning about health and fitness and healthy eating to gain their badges for Fitness Challenge and Healthy Eating.”

“Our thanks go to Asda, who helped our children learn more about choosing healthy foods and allowed us to taste various foods and complete a quiz around the store.”

Other recent related activities by Burnham Beavers have included making healthy sandwiches, fruit kebabs, and street dancing.
