Crews called to small house fire in Highbridge’s Morland Road

-

Two fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were sent to reports that a house was on fire in Highbridge on Friday night (March 8th).

Firefighters rushed to Morland Road at 8.10pm where they found a small blaze had started in the kitchen.

“Crews confirmed that all persons were accounted for and found a small fire in the kitchen, which was heavily smoke-logged,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

A quantity of paper was believed to be on fire in the building and crews extinguished this using two breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel jet.

Crews also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the building.
