Former Highbridge student completes marine mammal project in Cambodia

Former King Alfred School Academy student Eve Croxford has been studying some of the world’s most amazing wildlife up close as she studies zoology at university.

Eve didn’t achieve any A grades at GCSE level, but she went on to achieve AAA grades in A level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology with the school’s sixth form in 2017.

She began studying zoology at the University of Sheffield three years ago, while also being passionate about outreach and conservation education.

Eve has also enjoyed an incredible year as a Research and Outreach Intern at the Cambodian Marine Mammal Conservation Project, pictured here.

Head of Sixth Form Jonathan Gaskell says: “Eve worked incredibly hard in the sixth form and she’s a great ambassador for us.”

“Above all, Eve’s story is about working hard, taking your chances and following your passions.”
