Model train enthusiasts flock to Highbridge Hornby model rail show

Model train enthuasists of all ages from across the region gathered at a unique show in Highbridge on Saturday (October 31st).

The Bristol and Somerset Group of the Hornby Railway Collectors’ Association held their seventh Vintage Hornby Train Show in the B Block at King Alfred School.

A steady flow of visitors attended the popular show through the day.

“There were a variety of Hornby model railway layouts on 0 and 00 scales, including ‘Templeford’, a large clockwork and electric vintage gauge 0 layout originally built by the late Laurie Tandy and now re-constructed by his children,” one of the organisers, Graham Roberts, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

There were also trade stands set up through the day selling new and second-hand items. The show is set to return again 2016 and Burnham-On-Sea.com will again have a preview prior to the event.
