BBC broadcaster welcomed to Burnham-On-Sea group’s talk

-

Burnham-On-Sea Philosophy Group welcomed author and TV broadcaster Julian Baggini to its monthly meeting this week.

Julian – who is a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio 4 and appears on TV shows such as BBC2’s Newsnight Review – spoke to a group of over 50 people at Burnham Community Centre.

He talked about his latest book The Ego Trick and several of his other philosophy publications, including The Pig That Wants To Be Eaten.

“To get a speaker of his calibre was a real coup for Burnham,” Burnham Philosophy Group’s Richard Franks told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Julian was an entertaining and engaging speaker and showed his talent for making philosophy accessible and relevant to everyday life.”
