Highbridge school’s canteen achieves five star rating for third year

-

The in-house catering team at Highbridge’s King Alfred School are celebrating achieving a five star hat-trick this week.

The school has been awarded a five star Food Hygiene Rating by Sedgemoor District Council for a third time.

The rating is the highest that can be received under the food hygiene rating scheme.

Catering Manager Tracey Lowe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to have achieved the top rating again. It is reassuring for our customers to know that we maintain very high standards.”

Opening at 8.15am for breakfast, the canteen provides a wide range of hot and cold food, which is freshly prepared each day on the premises using locally-sourced ingredients.
