Lights, music, action! Burnham home’s 25,000 Xmas lights turned on

-

A unique Christmas display of more than 25,000 lights whose sequence is determined by the beat of festive music has been switched on in Burnham-On-Sea.

Keith and Jane Mitchell lit up their impressive display on the outside of their Winchester Road home in front of a crowd of neighbours and onlookers over the weekend.

“It’s taken several weeks to put the display in place – the recent windy weather has not helped, but we’re delighted with the end result,” Keith told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“25,000 lights are being used with over 100 different elements controlled by 32 channels of programming that sequence the lights to react to the Christmas music being played.”

The lights can be viewed every night until January 6th between 5.30pm and 9pm, with donations going towards for Cancer Reaserch.

Keith added: “It has taken since the end of October to come up with the design and put together the display. I could not have done it without the help of my father, Victor, and brother Kevin and wife Jane for letting me adorn our house in these lights!”

“After last year’s display recieved some great feedback we wanted to hold something even bigger and brighter.”

“We hope to raise a great amount for our chosen charity and just ask visitors who enjoy the display to put a donation in the collection box.”
