Burnham-On-Sea gymnasts are declared British Schools champions

-

Two Burnham-On-Sea brothers, who are members of the town’s Monarchs Gymnastics Club, are celebrating this week after being declared British Schools Champions.

Acrobatic gymnasts Sean and Conor McKenna represented the South West region at the latest competition, where they scooped the top place.

They had previously won a place in the team to compete in the regional finals, held in Stoke-on-Trent, after gaining first place in the Over 13 Boys Pairs wher they won gold medals.

“They competed against six other pairs in their category achieving a clear win. This result adds to the many successes of the sports acro club so far this year,” the club’s Amanda Hoskins told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
