Fire-hit Rosewood pub in Burnham-On-Sea could re-open next Spring, says owner

-

The owner of the fire-hit Rosewood pub in Burnham-On-Sea hopes to re-build it and re-open it next Spring.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com this week, a spokesperson for Greene King revealed that the firm is set to submit a planning application to formally begin the work.

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here in June how fire crews from across Somerset had tackled a huge blaze at the Love Lane pub, which began in the kitchen and quickly spread.

The Greene King spokesman said this week: “We have been working hard to assess the damage to the Rosewood pub since the fire earlier this year and we are pleased to now be in a position to submit a planning application to rebuild the pub.”

“Whilst it is too early to give an exact date for reopening, we are hoping work will be complete in Spring 2020 and we look forward to welcoming back the local community to the pub soon.”
