A St John Ambulance cadet from Burnham-On-Sea became Somerset’s Cadet Of The Year on Sunday (January 24th).
Lucy Westlake, 16, competed against eleven other cadets from across Somerset during a selection event held at the South West Ambulance Station in Taunton.
Sarah Westlake, Divisional Superintendent, Highbridge Cadets, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As part of the selection procedure Lucy had to give a talk on a subject of her choosing, have an interview with a panel, have a uniform inspection and take part in team building activities, which included preparing a television advertisement for new St John leaders.”
As part of her new role Lucy will now be attending events across the county, representing St John Ambulance and particularly St John Youth.
