Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club has been selected to host Somerset’s Tennis Championships next month.
The closed competition will be held over three weekends, with the preliminary rounds on 5th and 6th June, and the quarter and semi-finals on 26th and 27th June.
The mens and ladies finals will then be played on Wimbledon Men’s Finals Day, Sunday 4th July.
Head Coach Vinny Duddy told Burnham-On-Sea.com the club is delighted to have the event in Burnham.
“The tournament is being run over several weekends, rather than during the week, to give more players the opportunity to become Somerset champion.”
Meanwhile, the winner of the club’s latest social tournament has been presented with her prize this week.

The club is also preparing for its next school holiday junior tennis camp, which will run from June 1st-4th.
