Burnham and Highbridge Youth Council appeals for new members

-

Burnham and Highbridge’s new Youth Town Council – which has been formed to give young people a voice in the two towns – has issued an appeal for new members to join the group.

The Somerset Rural Youth Project is overseeing the meetings and is inviting young people aged 11-19 to get involved.

The latest meeting will be held this evening (Thursday, 19th December) from 7pm at The Old Courthouse in Jaycroft Road, Burnham TA8 1LE.

The meetings intend to give young people a voice in order to make a difference in the local community.

Somerset County Youth Service and the Town Council are providing funding to support young people to plan a couple community and fundraising events. If you want to get involved or have a great idea please give the Youth and Community Worker a call on 01278 722100 or just attend this week’s meeting.
