loses wheels and causes long tailbacks on M5 near Burnham
wheels came off a coach as it drove along the M5 near Burnham-On-Sea,
causing damage to the road and long tailbacks for motorists on
Monday afternoon (November 11th).
southbound carriageway between Weston and Burnham-On-Sea was partly
blocked following the incident at about 12.30pm.
faced delays of over an hour while emergency repairs were undertaken
to the roadway.
spokesman for Highways Agency told Burnham-On-Sea.com that 200m
of the road surface had been damaged in the incident, forcing
the closure of two lanes.
said that tailbacks of traffic stretched back as far as Clevedon
