Burnham-On-Sea’s Apex Leisure & Wildlife Park to hold open day

Apex Wildlife & Leisure Park in Burnham-On-Sea is holding an open day later this month when a host of groups from the town will be getting involved with displays and demonstrations.

The event, which is being held on Sunday August 28th, will include the Sedgemoor Model Boat Club. Their members will show how they use Apex’s lakes to steer mini yachts and powerboats around the lakes.

There will also be displays from Burnham’s Dog Training Club plus informative displays from other local organisations and groups.

Burnham’s rescue hovercraft, The Spirit Of Lelaina, will also be on scene for visitors to see the life-saving craft up close and meet crew members.

Burnham and Highbridge’s Town Band will be on hand to provide musical entertainment and there will also be games and competitions for children and families, including a bouncy castle.

The event will be held between 11.00am and 4.00pm and entry is free.
