Brean’s Beachside Holiday Park carries out repairs after high tides cause damage

-

Brean’s Beachside Holiday Park has been carrying out work this week to shore up the sand dunes and make repairs along its beachfront site.

A winter of storm high tides has cut back the dunes along the coastline between Burnham-On-Sea and Brean.

Beachside Holiday Park has brought in machinery to make repairs, as pictured here, and a spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This winter’s storms have taken approximately 12 feet of land.”

“So this week we have been busy keeping the park looking its best by addressing the damage to our beach entrance, steps and dunes to make it safe again. It was the worst winter of storms for 4-5 years in terms of damage to the sand dunes.”
