Burnham Camera Club’s exhibition puts local photographers in focus

-

Over 100 photographs went on display when Burnham-On-Sea Camera Club held its second annual photography exhibition on Sunday (April 18th).

The popular event, which was held at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close, was opened by Ian Burrage, a presenter on local radio station Heart.

Ian was impressed at the quality and range of photos on display. “It’s easy to forget just how wonderful this part of the country is – there were some fantastic local scenes on display, along with many other fantastic photos,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The club’s Chairwoman, Debbie Young, said the day had been a great success. “We had a steady flow of visitors throughout the day, who enjoyed a good range of photos from glamour shots to local landscapes.”

Over a hundred people passed through the doors, including invited guests Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Derick Cooper and Mayoress Christine Cooper.

Burnham Camera Club meets weekly on Thursdays from 7-9pm at the BAY Centre and newcomers are welcome.
