Brent Knoll martial arts gala will raise money for Royal Marines

-

Martial arts clubs in the Burnham-On-Sea area are being invited to sign up to take part in a high-kicking charity gala taking place in Brent Knoll next month.

The fundraising event will be held at Sanders Garden World on Saturday February 26th in aid of the 40 Commando Royal Marines at Norton Manor camp in Taunton.

Allan Roberts, who is organising the gala and is a former grenadier guard, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I am looking for clubs to attend our Martial Arts Gala from 11am until 1.30pm.”

“During the event, groups will be performing demonstrations for 15-minute periods. All types of martial arts are welcome, including karate, ju-jitsu and boxing.”

Entry to the event will be by a £2 donation. All funds raised will go to the 40 Commando Royal Marines at Norton Manor camp in Taunton. Any clubs who would like to participate should contact Allan Roberts by calling 01278 789145 or emailing Roberts-a4@sky.com.

There will also be a jackal, an armoured vehicle used by the British Army, on-site for people to see during the gala event.
