Popular Burnham-On-Sea cafe re-opens after vandals attack

-

Vandals caused hundreds of pounds of damage to a town centre cafe in Burnham-On-Sea early on Wednesday (March 9th), forcing it to close for a day.

Mr Beans on The High Street was temporarily closed after a large shopfront window was smashed, as pictured here, sending shards of glass across the premises.

Owner Ollie Farnese told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a shock to come in and find glass everywhere this morning. Fortunately, nothing has been stolen, but it will take up to a week to get the pane repaired. It’s sickening when things like this happen.”

The cafe re-opened for business on Thursday morning.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to call Burnham Police Station on 0845 456 7000 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
