Two people from Burnham’s Frith House care home die in hospital of Coronavirus

-

Two people from Burnham-On-Sea’s Frith House care home have sadly died after testing positive for Coronavirus.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Somerset Care, which runs the care home, confirmed that two residents – a man and a woman – who tested positive for COVID-19 have died in hospital and one further person has also tested positive for the virus.

The spokeswoman says that the care home has isolation measures in place to safeguard its residents and staff.

“Sadly, we have had two people pass away in hospital who tested positive for the virus,” the spokesperson said.

“We would ask that you respect the families’ need for privacy at this time. In the home, we currently have one resident who has been confirmed as having the virus.”

“We have implemented isolation measures, and continue to follow advice from Public Health England.”
