'Struggling'
windsurfer prompts call-out for Burnham Coastguards

A
beach walker's concerns for the welfare of a windsurfer spotted
struggling in heavy seas off Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday afternoon
(November 22nd) prompted a call-out for the town's Coastguards.
Burnham
Coastguards and lifeboat crews were alerted shortly after 2pm
when a concerned member of the public reported seeing the windsurfer
in difficulty near Burnham's lighthouse.
Coastguards
were quickly on the scene, but they found the windsurfer had already
made his way safely back to the shore. The lifeboat crew were
stood down before launching their boats.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"Apparently, the windsurfer had managed to get himself out
of trouble, but we were ready to help."
