Coastguards were called to help a kitesurfer who was spotted struggling
in the sea after losing his surf board on Sunday afternoon (October

dialled 999 to report the surfer was in difficulty in heavy winds.
Burnham Coastguard Officer Ian Jefferies told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"A beach fisherman reported the kite surfer had lost his
surfboard and was relying on his kite as a buoyancy aid."
