Body
found after search involving Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards
 The
body of a man was recovered from the sea on Thursday morning (August
16th) following a major search by Coastguards from Weston and
Burnham-On-Sea.
The body was found by the teams after a man was reported to be
missing near Weston's Birnbeck Pier.
Burnham
Coastguards were called to provide extra manpower in the search
of the coastline at 7.30am.
The
search was launched after a passer-by spotted an abandoned wheelchair
on a path behind the town's Royal Pier Hotel. Tragically, a body
was found in the sea nearby at about 9.30am.
